Whitewater Rafting Trip Through Mather Gorge

Overview

Our three-hour whitewater rafting trip down Mather Gorge takes place just 20 minutes from downtown DC and introduces you to one of the most ecologically unique natural treasures in America. Mather Gorge, located just below Great Falls on the Potomac, features a unique landscape with towering cliffs and a rich riparian habitat. This section of the mighty Potomac features action-packed Class II / III rapids interspersed with flat sections for laying back and taking it all in. It's the perfect escape for your family or office. This trip is for paddlers between 90–275 lbs. Here is what is included:

  1. Raft, paddle, and personal flotation device
  2. Professional raft guide
  3. Raft safety orientation
  4. Interpretive tour
