Our professional instructors and guides will teach your group about flatwater kayaks, how to paddle with correct technique, and will help you discover the flora and fauna of our local treasure. You'll also learn the rich history of the C&O Canal. Catch a glimpse of heron, kingfisher, white-tailed deer, and painted turtles, and see and learn about the many other wild inhabitants of the riparian ecosystem - all at a leisurely pace. Equipment is included in our special weekday rate for groups of 8-30 individuals.


Beginner-Friendly Group Flatwater Kayak C&O Canal Tour

Our spectacular 3-hour beginner flatwater kayak canal tour takes place on the Pennyfield Lock section of the C&O Canal in Potomac, MD. This trip offers your group of 8-30 people a "quick start" kayak lesson for beginners and the opportunity to learn about the flora, fauna, and significant history of the C&O Canal on a leisurely tour of this scenic flat water area that's teaming with wildlife. All paddling equipment is provided on site and the instruction and guides are excellent!
