Discover the Potomac Beginner River Tour On Calm Water - Bring Binoculars!

Overview

Our professional instructors and guides will teach your beginner or experienced group all about flatwater kayaks, how to paddle with correct technique, and will help you discover the flora and fauna of our local treasure. You'll also learn the rich history of the C&O Canal. Catch a glimpse of eagles, herons, kingfisher, white-tailed deer, and painted turtles, and see and learn about the many other wild inhabitants of our river ecosystem. All equipment is included! See below for details. Individuals in your group who don't want to kayak can walk the adjacent Canal towpath for great bird and turtle spotting. We can also make some great lunch or dinner stop suggestions!
