Yoga for KayakersKayakers have recently discovered that Yoga is a great way to improve their flexibility, breathing, and concentration. Yoga is not only a physical practice but also "the ability to direct and focus mental activity" (sutra 1.2). Our Yoga for Kayakers classes are friendly toward those who are new to Yoga, and invigorating for those who are experienced. Our Yoga Instructor, Ricky Rodriguez, is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Associate Baptiste Instructor. He has studied Yoga for the past 25 years. Rick has also spent the better part of the past 20 years paddling all over the US. As an advocate of the Potomac, he's chaired the Potomac Whitewater Festival and currently serves on the board of the West Virginia Rivers Coalition. Our Sunday evening classes are perfect for stretching out muscles and mind after an active weekend of paddling. They are also a great way to center yourself for the week ahead. Walk-ins and non-paddlers are welcome! Bring a friend!
