Welcome to the 2007/2008 Potomac Paddlesports "indoor" kayaking season! Our 300' pool is located at the Audrey Moore Rec Center in Annandale, Virginia. Our American Canoe Association certified instructors are mature, professional kayaking EXPERTS that are highly experienced in the art of teaching the kayak roll. Our proprietary teaching progression is in a class by itself and really breaks the roll down into separate steps you can understand and execute more quickly. Indoor/Outdoor Starter Package

If you've always wanted to get started in the sport of kayaking but were waiting to do it in the clear waters of an indoor swimming pool, our Indoor/Outdoor Starter Lesson Package is right for you! This package offers two indoor rolling lessons during the winter months, plus three outdoor lessons (Lessons 2-4 of our Level 1 Beginner Whitewater Package LINK) and FREE weekly Practice Nights during the outdoor paddling season! All equipment is provided! Come learn to roll a kayak in an indoor pool this winter and start the 2008 paddling season with a solid roll, ready to hit the river!

Bombproof Roll Package

If you are a beginner or you have kayaked before and need to learn to roll, or want to learn various new rolls, our Bombproof Roll Package is GUARANTEED to do the trick! We teach the Sweep, Twisting Sweep, C to C, Hand, and Back Deck Rolls (We teach the Back Deck only to those who cannot achieve more protected rolls because of special limitations.) and other variations of these both "on side" and "off side". Our unique progressions break every type of roll down into separate components for you to practice individually, develop the muscle memory, and presto! You roll! Our low student-to-instructor ratio of 5:1 offers the personalized attention you need and three full hours in the pool will give you more time to practice the individual components and work one-on-one with an instructor! Our Bombproof Package includes three indoor rolling lessons (three hours each).

Rolling Lesson

If your budget allows for only one rolling lesson this winter, our three-hour lesson will do the trick. Beginner and intermediate paddlers will benefit from our unique progression.

Public Practice Nights
