POTOMAC PADDLESPORTS RIVER FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS!

THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED! A very special thank you for all who attended the event in 2005! We had over 300 participants and raised $6171.30 for river conservation and access issues. We hope to see everyone again next year: April 22, 2006!

CELEBRATE AND PROTECT THE POTOMAC: Want to learn more about the challenges facing the Potomac River and what you can do to help? Join us on Saturday, April 23 from 9 AM - 4 PM for our open house bash and fundraiser to celebrate and protect the Potomac River! Our goal is to have fun and raise funds! The event is free and open to the public with a suggested $10 donation to enter. All proceeds go to non-profits that protect the River. Check out details and directions below. KAYAK SWAP AND FREE DEMOS: Come sell or buy used kayaks and gear at our kayak swap and flea market, demo new Wavesport and Liquidlogic kayaks, win new gear, and meet some of the sport's top athletes! 100% of all donations from the swap ($15 suggested) go to The Potomac Conservancy. GORGE-A-THON: Participate in the first annual Mather Gorge-A-Thon where class III whitewater paddlers try to complete as many laps of Mather Gorge as possible, in three hours! Proceeds will help fund the USGS Little Falls Guage and access projects in the Park. Click here for the Registration Form.

BENEFIT CONCERT: Enjoy an indoor benefit concert all day long! Performances by Jonny B, Blue Book Value, Parson Brown, Michael Jantz, Harlen Simple, Suzanne Brindamour, and more!

SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLES: Bid on or win incredible prizes donated by local artists, Galasport, Hudson Trail Outfitters, Local Paddler, Patagonia, Astral Buoyancy, Clyde's, Potomac Paddlesports, Rapidstyle, and more! Proceeds of the indoor silent auction and raffle go to ICPRB and Potomac Riverkeeper.
